Bronco Football Enters Summer Unsettled at QB

Capture.PNG

KALAMAZOO, Mich (Newschannel 3) - FOLLOWING THE COMPLETION OF THE SPRING GAME YESTERDAY, THE WESTERN MICHIGAN FOOTBALL TEAM IS NOW DONE WITH ORGANIZED TEAM PRACTICES UNTIL THE FALL. THE QUESTION AS TO WHO WILL START AT QUARTERBACK, THOUGH, REMAINS UNANSWERED.

BOTH TOM FLACCO AND JON WASSINK ARE WORKING TO ASCEND THE DEPTH CHART AND FIND THEIR NAME NEXT TO "QB1."

FLACCO HAS THE EXPERIENCE EDGE, HAVING APPEARED IN 13 GAMES THROUGHOUT HIS FIRST 2 YEARS AT WALDO STADIUM.

WASSINK IS MORE OF AN UNKNOWN, AT LEAST WHEN IT COMES TO HOW HE WILL PLAY IN A COLLEGE GAME BECAUSE HE HASN'T DONE IT YET. THE REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE WORKED MAINLY WITH THE SCOUT TEAM LAST YEAR, AND IS STILL WAITING TO MAKE HIS DEBUT. BUT BOTH ARE RIGHT THERE IN THE RUNNING, AND COACH TIM LESTER SAYS THE COMPETITION WILL CONTINUE.
