KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Three of WMU's first four football games this fall will be against Big Ten competition.

The MAC offices released the official schedules for all 12 teams Friday afternoon.

The Broncos will open things up August 31st in East Lansing against the Michigan State Spartans.

Northwestern and Iowa follow in weeks three and four, both on the road as well.

Homecoming is set for October 12 against Buffalo, and the annual Central Michigan game is at the tail end of the schedule, on November 16th.

Four of the Broncos last 5 games are against MAC West foes, broken up only by a trip to UMass on October 26th.

The season finale, a showdown on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, with new coach PJ Fleck's alma mater, Northern Illinois.

That one is scheduled to be live on ESPN2.
