MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) - The Central Michigan women won't have to travel all that far for the NCAA tournament.
The Chippewas (21-11) were given a No. 11 seed and will take on No. 6 seed Oklahoma (22-10) in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday. The winner faces either UCLA (25-7) or Stetson (24-8) in the next round.
Central Michigan won the Mid-American Conference tournament to receive an automatic bid. The Chippewas lost to Eastern Michigan in the league title game a year ago on a last-second shot, but this time they beat Akron comfortably, winning 86-68.
