Akron may be short-handed heading into MAC tourney

AKRON, Ohio (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Mid-American Conference men's basketball tournament just got a little more interesting.
Akron, the number one overall seed, and ranked in the top 25, just lost point guard Alex Abreu.
The club's floor leader has been suspended indefinitely a day after he was arrested for allegedly accepting a package containing five pounds of marijuana.
Abreu entered a not guilty plea and he is due back in court on March 22nd.
The Zips are 24-5 overall, and 14-1 in MAC action.
