DETROIT (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Detroit Tigers have a new man leading the charge.
Brad Ausmus is replacing Jim Leyland as manager.
The Tigers made the announcement Sunday afternoon.
The 44-year-old former Tiger worked in San Diego the last three seasons as a special assistant to the general manager.
Ausmus also managed Team Israel in the 2013 World Baseball Classic.
He played 18 years in the Big League, mostly with Houston.
Ausmus has no managerial experience, but says he doesn't believe that will be an issue.
