Maize and Blue comes out on top

Updated: Monday, March 4 2013, 08:49 AM EST
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The match-up between the Wolverines and Spartans came down to the final possession Sunday.

In the end it was the Maize and Blue that came out on top.

Michigan's Trey Burke stole the ball to seal the win for the Wolverines.

Just moments earlier he made another big play to put his team on top.

The score was tied at 56 with less than 30 seconds left when Burke stole the ball from Keith Appling and took it down for the go ahead dunk.

State then added a free throw and had a chance for a game winning shot but as you saw there couldn't get it off thanks to Burke's tough "D."

The team's split the season series one game a piece after MSU's dominating performance in East Lansing last month.
