HOLLAND, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Two people are injured after a horse from a carriage got loose and ran out of control through Holland.

Police say Thursday night around 8:30 near 8th Street and Central Avenue a man on a skateboard fell in front of the horse.

Inside the carriage was a Holland couple, their 3-year-old daughter and the driver.

The horse became scared and bolted forward. The driver attempted to stop the horse and was hurt in the process.

The horse ran down to 10th Street where it hit a parked car, breaking free from the carriage.

Police eventually captured the horse as it reached 8th Street.

A 69-year-old woman was hurt during this time when the horse knocked her down.

Holland police are now looking for the man who was riding the skateboard who did not stick around after the incident.

We're told the injuries are all minor.

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to call Holland police.
