Sturgis church leader faces criminal sexual conduct charges

STURGIS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A church leader is charged with six counts of criminal sexual conduct.
We're told the allegations against 47-year-old Mario Delgado came to light this week.

Sources tell us Delgado was a pastor there. Right now it is unclear what the church plans to do next.

What many in his church still may not know is that Delgado is charged with five counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree and one count of criminal sexual conduct in the second degree.
Sturgis Police say the victims who are now 14 and 21 years old claim they were abused by their uncle when they were each six to seven years old and the abuse lasted about three or four years.
Delgado was arrested at his home yesterday.
A judge ordered Delgado a $125,000 cash bond Tuesday.
We reached out to the district superintendent of the church based out of Indiana for comment, but he did not return our calls.
