(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A new study by UCLA and universities in Madrid has confirmed that women's brains are 8 percent smaller than men's, but they're just as smart.

Researchers say women have more neurons so they can cram more information into a smaller space.

In experiments they outperformed men in several areas, including inductive reasoning, numerical tasks and keeping track of changes.

Men were better in solving spatial problems like parallel parking.
