KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Kalamazoo County man accused of hiding in his co-worker's home with a knife and duct tape is expected to be arraigned Friday.
Bolen tells us it was her miniature schnauzer Oreo who let her know something was wrong when she walked into her Texas Township home Thursday morning.
She says Oreo ran to the closet where they found a man with a knife and duct tape hiding inside.
Bolen's boyfriend, who is a KDPS officer, held onto the intruder until deputies arrived.
When Bolen got a look at who it was she was stunned. The man is a co-worker at the Kalamazoo Post Office.
“He started barking immediately, which he never does unless there's a stranger around. So he ran downstairs, which John thought was suspicious, so he followed the dog down there. In the meantime I found a whole bunch of Milk Bones in his crate, which I thought was really weird because I don't even have Milk Bone Brand treats," said Laura Bolen.
Deputies found a GPS tracking device on Bolen's car too.
Neighbor's say they had been suspicious of a particular car that had been driving up and down the street for the last few weeks.
The suspect is scheduled to be arraigned Friday. That's when we will learn who he is.
