BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Battle Creek residents packed City Hall to speak their minds about whether the city should join a national coalition of cities against gun violence.
The organization called Mayors Against Illegal Guns, started by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, currently has more than 900 members.
But not everyone is comfortable with the coalition.
City Hall was so packed at Tuesday night's meeting that not everyone made it in, but those who did were vocal about their opinions.
There was no decision made at the meeting Tuesday night regarding whether or not Battle Creek will join.
13 cities in Michigan have already joined the coalition, including Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo.
