WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES remain for all of West Michigan until 8 PM.  The expiration time is 4 PM in Berrien, Cass, St. Joe, and Branch counties.  1" to 3" of snow followed by freezing rain has left some roads slippery.  Areas of light snow and freezing drizzle won't do our roads any favors through sunset.  Please be careful traveling during your evening commute and beyond!

Stay with for your weather this afternoon and always!

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Red Cross is getting ready for spring and tornado season.

It's launching a new official tornado app.

The free program will be available for iPhone, iPad and Android smartphone and tablet users.

It will offer people instant access to local and real-time information, including a high-pitched siren and "tornado warning!" when one is issued, followed by an "all clear!" signal when a tornado warning has expired or canceled.

The app also features steps and checklists to create emergency action plans and locations of open Red Cross shelters.

You can find the free app in the Apple and Google Play stores by searching for American Red Cross.
