Officer placed on administrative leave for off-duty conduct

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Police in Grand Rapids say a lieutenant has been placed on leave while they investigate his off-duty conduct.
Lieutenant Ryan McClimans was put on leave Friday, April 5th.
Police say they are investigating a domestic violence allegation from the City of Holland on Thursday, April 4th.
The Ottawa County Prosecutor's Office has issued a misdemeanor domestic violence warrant for McClimans. He turned himself in Thursday and was arraigned in the 58th District Court.
Police say the 43-year-old officer has been with the GRPD since 1994. He was on the Special Response Team.
McClimans is out on a personal recognizance bond.
