Officer accused of going to work drunk due in court

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Battle Creek police officer accused of driving her patrol car drunk is scheduled to have a court hearing Tuesday.
Officer Jennifer Appl was arraigned on two misdemeanor charges earlier this month, drunk driving and being drunk with a gun in her possession.
Investigators say Appl was out on patrol for at least two hours before she was given a breathalyzer which police say she failed.
Officer Appl is currently on administrative leave from the department.
Tuesday she's scheduled for a pre-trial hearing.
