COVERT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Deputies in Van Buren County have arrested three men after searching a pole barn in Van Buren County.

Officers went to the barn in the 76000 block of 48th Ave. Wednesday for a drug investigation. When they pulled in they noticed a white van that had backed up to the barn and a man who entered the building.

After speaking with the man detectives obtained a search warrant for the barn. Inside they found that the barn was being remodeled and split into several individual rooms. Two of the rooms had doors on them and inside were marijuana grow operations.

Police seized a total of 27 plants. They also found several individual Ziploc bags containing processed marijuana weighing approximately one pound.

Investigators also seized scales, packaging materials, paperwork, $800 in cash and a 2004 Mercedes Benz van.
