Man sentenced to 5-30 yrs. in WMU armed robberies

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - One of three college students, accused of robbing seeral people on WMU's campus will spend at least 5 years behind bars.
Police say back in December, 20-year-old Ryan Hattaway and 2 others robbed the 7-11 on West KL Avenue, held up 2 people on campus, and stole a woman's purse.
Hattaway was charged with 3 counts of armed robbery, but had the 3rd count dismissed after taking a plea deal.
He was sentenced to 5 to 30 years in jail.
