Man found competent to stand trial in landlord's burning death

HOLLAND, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – A judge in Ottawa County has ruled that a man is competent to stand trial.
32-year-old Davanh Phouangphet was arrested and charged in 2012 with setting his landlord, 53-year old Kim Le, on fire. She died seven days later.
It happened in Holland area.
There was a competency hearing Friday for Phouangphet. His trial is scheduled to begin April 30 and run through May 17.
