KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Last week, State Representatives reached across the aisle to tackle animal abuse in Michigan.
Republican Paul Muxlow and Democrat Harvey Santana introduced a bill to create an animal abuser registry, whereby people convicted of animal cruelty would have to register their name and address with the state.
Cooley Law School student, and co-founder of the Thomas M. Cooley Animal Law Society, Renee Edmondson joined us in the newsroom to talk a little more about the proposed house legislation.
