KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – A forum will be held to discuss clean-up options after the Environmental Protection Agency decided not to remove the 1.3 million cubic yards of PCB contaminated soil at the former Allied Paper site in Kalamazoo.
Now a panel of city officials, elected representatives and specialists in hazardous materials will hold a forum to discuss clean-up alternatives.
The main concern is that the site sits above the aquifer from which the city draws a major portion of its drinking water.
That forum will be held Monday, April 22nd from 7:00 to 9:00 at the Bernhard Center on the campus of Western Michigan University.
The forum will be open to public.
