DENSE FOG ADVISORY TRIMMED WEST OF 131

Until 11 AM

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids lingers a DENSE FOG ADVISORY, initially hoisted until 11 AM, for the counties of Calhoun, Barry, Eaton, Ionia, Montcalm, Newaygo, and Mecosta.  Light winds and our cold, lower and middle 40s are nuturing fog east of US 131.  Short term fog models maintain fog through at least 10 AM.  Please keep it safe this morning, and slow it down if you can.  Stay with wwmt.com for your weather!

Fire destroys furniture store in Quincy story image

QUINCY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Fire ripped through the Longstreet Furniture store in Quincy early Tuesday morning.

Crews were called out to E. Chicago Road just before 12:30AM.

US-12 was shut down till around 6AM while crews worked on knocking down hot spots.

At the height of the fire there were 60 fire fighters from 8 departments battling the flames. That includes a crew from Indiana.

Officials tell Newschannel 3 they were able to save several of the other buildings attached but the front of the building was a total loss.

The owner of the business says that customers can contact their store in Marshall for assistance.
