KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The City of Kalamazoo is going to pay $115,000 to settle a lead paint lawsuit.
Brandi Crawford sued the city after she bought a home at auction for just over $3,000.
She claimed the city knew the home contained lead-based paint, but did not provide the disclosure required by law.
She says she and her children now have elevated lead levels.
City officials admit they failed to provide the documents, but say they didn't know there was lead paint in the home.
