KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Tuesday night, one local Kalamazoo club is coming together to honor the victims of the attack in Boston.
The bombings Monday left many people wondering what can we do to show that we care?
We found the Kalamazoo Area Runners Facebook page. They're planning a half mile run for Tuesday night in honor of all the runners who weren't able to run that last half mile in Boston Monday.
The posts talk about coming together as a local running family to show solidarity for runners nationwide.
They say it doesn't matter how fast you run or how far you want to run, but that everyone should plan on running that first half mile together.
It looks like the plan is to meet up at the Celery Flats in Portage at six o'clock Tuesday night and go from there.
Also on the Facebook page there's a link to print off a "bib." That's the number tag runners wear on their shirts during a race.
The one people will be printing off and wearing says 4-15-13 Runners United To Remember.
