KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Wednesday afternoon the Western Michigan University Board of Trustees will meet to discuss the future of its property in downtown Kalamazoo once marked for an arena.

Trustees will consider negotiating an extension to an agreement with Downtown Tomorrow Incorporated over the Cole-Gilmore property.

WMU bought the space back in 2001 under the terms that it would develop most of it. If not, it was supposed to be handed back over to Downtown Tomorrow Incorporated.

That agreement is supposed to end at the end of this year.

Wednesday's meeting will take place at 1:15 at the Bernhard Center on WMU's campus.
