The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issues a LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY for Oceana, Muskegon, Ottawa, Allegan, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Berrien, Cass, and St. Joe counties until 9 PM.  2" to 6" of snow are possible on northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph bringing lake effect snow bands near and across US 131, at times.  Some locations will see more than 6", especially closer to Lake Michigan.  Roads are slippery and become more tricky once the sun sets.

Growlers host 'Hometown Heroes' night Tuesday story image

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Get ready to celebrate Hometown Heroes night with the Kalamazoo Growlers.

Tuesday night at Homer Stryker Field, the entire night will be dedicated to those who serve and protect the community.

Before the Growlers take on the Wisconsin Woodchucks at 7:05, members of the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, the Portage Fire Department, and the Army will participate in a pre-game softball tournament.

The first pitch is set for 4:00 p.m.
