DETROIT (AP) - A Jury has convicted a Detroit lawyer of conspiracy for working with his murder trial client to get a witness to lie.
A Wayne County Circuit Court jury on Monday found 44-year-old lawyer David B. Dunn and 24-year-old murder defendant Andre D. Collins guilty of conspiring to get a witness to commit perjury. The jury also found Dunn guilty of inciting perjury.
Judge Margaret Van Houten has scheduled their sentencing for Nov. 18. The charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison.
Prosecutor's spokeswoman Maria Miller says Dunn and Collins were arrested on the first day of what was supposed to be Collins' first-degree murder trial.
