Michigan fends off 187,000 cyber attacks a day

LANSING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The State of Michigan is spending millions every year fending off online attacks on state records.
According to the Detroit News nearly $10-million per year is spent on 23 technicians who staff an around-the-clock electronics center.
The state says it has nearly 187,000 cyber attacks per day.
Those attacks can range from simple attempts to find a weak spot in the system to coordinated efforts using automated software.
