Testimony continues in Deepwater Horizon trial

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) – There is new testimony in the trial over the Deepwater Horizon disaster that led to the gulf oil spill that shows BP should have known there was a problem before it even drilled the well.

An expert witness says BP drilled that well in an area where a magnitude six earthquake struck just four years earlier.

He says the ground was extremely unstable there and that BP knew about the earthquake before it started drilling.

Testimony now continues in that lawsuit filed by gulf coast residents who want BP and the other companies involved in the project to pay up.
