MOSCOW (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Russian ballet dancer accused of planning a horribly disfiguring acid attack on his world famous boss claimed everything we're hearing about him is a lie.
29-year-old Pavel Dmitrichenko spoke out during his arraignment Thursday morning in Moscow.
He says he paid a man to to beat up the director of Russia's famed Bolshoi Ballet, Sergei Filin, but not to throw acid in his face.
Dmitrichenko allegedly wanted revenge against Filin for refusing to give his ballerina girlfriend a starring role.
Filin almost lost his sight during that January attack.
Prosecutors are asking Dmitrichenko to be sentenced to 12 years in prison.
