WINTER STORM WATCH

7 PM SATURDAY UNTIL 10 PM SUNDAY

The National Weather Service in northern Indiana issues WINTER STORM WATCHES for Berrien, Cass, St. Joe, and Branch counties from 7 PM Saturday night until 10 PM Sunday.  Light snow develops near midnight Saturday night and becomes steadier and heavier toward daybreak Sunday.  Snow, heavy at times, may accumulate on order of 6" to 12" by Sunday evening.  Traveling will be difficult and further compromised by blowing and drifting snow.  The exact track is still being fine tuned, so please stay with wwmt.com throughout your weekend!

Pope resigns

VATICAN CITY (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - It's an historic day for the catholic church.

Thursday Pope Benedict the 16th will step down, the first pope to resign in nearly 600 years.

The Pope is saying a final farewell to all of the cardinals at the Vatican.

Pope Benedict will fly to the papal residence at Castel Gandolfo to spend the first couple months of his retirement.

The cardinals are set to meet Monday to decide the date for conclave to elect a new pope.
