Police looking into DC-area drive-by

Updated: Monday, March 11 2013, 08:58 PM EDT
WASHINGTON, D.C. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Police are investigating a drive-by shooting just a mile from the U.S. Capitol that injured more than a dozen people.

It happened outside an apartment complex early Monday morning.

One man was critically wounded after being shot in the back.

12 other people suffered non life-threatening injuries.

Some people were shot in the leg, and others were hit by shattering glass.

Police say a nightclub across the street had let out about 15 minutes before the shooting.

They are interviewing witnesses to try and figure out a motive.

They're also looking for two vehicles reportedly involved in the attack--a dark-colored, older model BMW and a light gray or silver sedan.
