LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY

UNTIL 9 PM

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issues a LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY for Oceana, Muskegon, Ottawa, Allegan, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Berrien, Cass, and St. Joe counties until 9 PM.  2" to 6" of snow are possible on northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph bringing lake effect snow bands near and across US 131, at times.  Some locations will see more than 6", especially closer to Lake Michigan.  Roads are slippery and become more tricky once the sun sets.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - There are just three days left until automatic across the board budget cuts kick in.

Many economists say the cuts will hurt the economy, but there are no official negotiations planned between democrats and republicans.
