Nike scrambles to pull 'Boston Massacre' shirt from shelves

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Nike is scrambling to pull a t-shirt with the words Boston Massacre from its shelves in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings.
The shirts reference an long-standing rivalry between the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox, and specifically a 4-game series in September of 1978 which turned the tide of the AL East race that year, en route to a Yankee World Series.
The shirts have been on sale for awhile, but with last week's bombings, many now say the shirts are inappropriate and insensitive, especially since there's blood spattered over the word 'Boston.'
