New ad supporting same-sex marriage to launch

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A new million-dollar ad campaign is hitting the airwaves, featuring some prominent Republicans, along with one Democrat.

The Respect For Marriage Coalition rolled out the ad on Wednesday.

It features former First Lady Laura Bush, former Secretary of State Colin Powell, and former Vice President Dick Cheney, all voicing their support for same-sex marriage.

The spot also uses a clip from President Obama's second Inaugural Address.

The ad comes just weeks before the Supreme Court prepares to take on same-sex marriage this spring.

Oral arguments are set to begin March 26th.
