Iran claims video is from captured drone

IRAN (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - We have video just coming into the newsroom that Iranian officials claim is from a captured U.S. drone.

The drone went down after entering Iranian airspace back in 2011.

Iran's government now claims this is video it extracted from that CIA spy drone.

It's the latest in a series of moves meant to show Iran's military and technological advances.

Iran also claims it reversed-engineered the drone and is now capable of launching its own line of unmanned aircraft.

U.S. officials say there's no evidence either of these claims are true.
