Investigators link man to Colo. prison chief's shooting

WISE COUNTY, Texas (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Investigators say a man believed to be linked to the shooting death of Colorado's State Prison Chief is a paroled prison inmate.

The man has been identified as 28-year-old Evan Spencer Ebel.

He as spotted driving a car that matched the description of the vehicle seen leaving the home of prisons chief Tom Clements Tuesday night around the time Clements was shot.

Ebel fired at police when they tried to stop his car in Texas.

They shot back, and now police say Ebel is essentially dead, but hooked up to equipment for organ harvesting.
