(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A manhunt continues for a shooter who opened fire at an upstate New York car wash and barbershop killing four people Wednesday morning.

Within the last two hours, police have identified the suspect as 64-year-old Kurt Meyer.

Investigators found guns and ammunition inside his apartment after emergency crews were sent to a fire Wednesday morning.

A few minutes later, two people were killed and two wounded at a barber shop around the corner.

The second shooting happened a mile away, where two more were killed.

People are being told to stay indoors and classes at a nearby community college have been cancelled for the rest of the day.
