Gov't sues Standard and Poor's for role in recession

NEW YORK (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The government is filing its first major legal action against a company involved in the 2008 financial crisis.

The Justice Department says a well-known ratings agency put its stamp of approval on investments that led to the recession.
