COLORADO (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The man accused of killing 12 people and injuring 70 others at a Colorado movie theater is now looking to plead guilty.
Lawyers for James Holmes say he will enter that plea under one condition. They want Holmes to serve life in prison and avoid the death penalty.
Prosecutors haven't accepted the offer yet. They want to talk to victims and their families first.
If he guilty plea is rejected Holmes can still plead not guilty by reason of insanity.
