Boy survives 8-story fall in mother's arms

NEW YORK (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A ten-month-old boy is fighting for his life Thursday morning after police say his mother jumped eight stories to her death while holding him in her arms.

It happened in New York.

Police say they arrived on scene to find the apartment window open and no signs of a struggle.

The 45-year-old woman was killed instantly. 

The boy was rushed to the hospital. He is now listed in stable but critical condition.
