(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Airports are going to court to challenge the federal government's decision to shut down 149 air traffic control towers because of budget cuts.
In lawsuits, airport leaders argue that the FAA has violated a federal law aimed at making sure major changes at airports don't erode safety.
The Central Illinois Regional Airport is the latest to file a lawsuit.
Three airports in Florida and one in Washington state have also sued.
