3 killed in Marine base shootings

QUANTICO, Virginia (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Police in Quantico, Virginia are investigating a deadly shooting at a Marine base.

Three people are dead.

The shootings began around 11:00 Thursday night.

Early on investigators found one victim and say the shooter barricaded himself in a building.

When police finally got inside they found the shooter dead from a self-inflicted gunshot as well as another victim.

They believe the shooter was a staff member at the officer candidate school.

Both victims were Marines as well.
