ITALY (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Italian Supreme Court has overturned the acquittal of Amanda Knox, ordering her to stand trial for murder again.
Knox spent four years in prison for the 2007 sexual assault and murder of her roommate, British exchange student Meredith Kercher.
In 2011, the conviction was overturned.
No date has been set for a new trial. It could be years before the case is heard.
Knox says the decision is painful, but she is confident the truth will set her free again.
