LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY

UNTIL 9 PM

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issues a LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY for Oceana, Muskegon, Ottawa, Allegan, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Berrien, Cass, and St. Joe counties until 9 PM.  2" to 6" of snow are possible on northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph bringing lake effect snow bands near and across US 131, at times.  Some locations will see more than 6", especially closer to Lake Michigan.  Roads are slippery and become more tricky once the sun sets.

School bus bursts into flames story image

AUSTRALIA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - More than 60 school children are lucky to be alive after their school bus burst into flames Tuesday morning.

It happened on Australia's Sunshine Coast.

A number of students have been taken to hospital as a precaution.

The kids were returning from a college expo.

The cause remains under investigation.
