(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Be prepared to pay a little more when you fly.

New rates for the TSA's September 11th Security Fee take effect Monday.

It will now cost you $5.60 each way for non-stop and connecting flights.

If your connection is longer than 4 hours domestically, or 12 hours internationally, you will pay the fee twice.

The increase is part of a budget deal, approved by Congress, to reduce the federal deficit.
