Northern Michigan school invests in new security upgrades

ALPENA, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A northern Michigan school is hoping an app and a security upgrade will help keep students safer.

Alpena High School spent about $55,000 to install new cameras at every entrance, exit, and hallway.

All of the video feeds are also synced to a mobile app, giving educators instant access to any camera in the school, right on their phones.
