Make-A-Wish Michigan builds playground for two brothers
(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Make-A-Wish Michigan is stepping up to bring joy to two brothers fighting the same, uncommon disease.
Crews were out building a one-of-a-kind playground for Ethan and Nolan Kosmerick. Both boys suffer from eosinophilic disorder, which prompts them to travel to the University of Cincinnati every 10 weeks for treatment.
It was a trip to a pediatrician that prompted the boys' mother, Jamie Kosmerick, to ask Make-A-Wish to grant Nolan's wish for a clubhouse.
The boys' mother says this gift will only strengthen her boys' unbreakable bond.
"To have each other as a support team, they go to the OR together, they do all proceudres together, go through all the same ups and downs. They give each other so much emotional support, team support and encouragement. I couldn't ask for a better bond between them," Jamie said.
Jamie adds that her community has been a big help through this tough time as well.
She says anyone who wants to help should check with Make-A-Wish Michigan to help grant the wishes of other children in our state.
