The Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan is hosting dozens of kids ages 8 to 17 at Sherman Lake in Augusta.
For five days, they'll enjoy all types of outdoor activities, including rock wall climbing, canoeing, and horseback riding.
Volunteer professionals say it's an event they look forward to every year.
"That's just wonderful to see how they adapt with the difficulties they have dealing with epilepsy," said camp volunteer and neurologist Dr. Daniel Fain. "We get to meet with their families, their parents somewhat. We get to see the friendships that develop among the campers and that's just an awesome thing to see."
This is the only camp in Michigan that specializes in children with epilepsy.
