Wisconsin city celebrating World Water Day with uniquely brewed beer
MADISON, Wisc. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - World Water Day is Wednesday and one city in Wisconsin is celebrating with a unique kind of beer.
The Madison Metropolitan Sewage District is using treated waste water to make their own English pale ale.
Treatment plants don't normally clean water to make it drinkable.
But in this case, the water is over-treated to make beer.
The sewerage district says this is an effort to respect every drop of water.
Dane County, Wisconsin is hosting events all week long to celebrate unique ways to reuse water.
