Wildfires rage in Washington state
WASHINGTON STATE (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Hundreds of firefighters are standing by as a wildfire inches closer to homes in Washington state.
"If they wouldn't have been here when that fire started? Who knows?" said Carole Putman.
The fire has already burned 28 square miles in just two days, but fire officials are warning residents that it could actually double in size and take weeks to get under control.
Right now a dozen homes are under an evacuation order near Mills Canyon.
About 40 miles away another fire is also threatening homes.
That one is also spreading quickly, charring 350 acres in one day.
