US, South Korea conducting joint military drills
WASHINGTON, D.C. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The United States and South Korea are conducting a series of military drills in the air.
The exercises come at a time of ever-increasing tensions on the Korean peninsula.
Officials say the display is an annual event, and has been planned for months.
They are called the Max Thunder drills, and are one of the largest military flying exercises held in the area.
